Hi, I’m Aric
I’ve have searched a lifetime to feel seen, known and loved.
In that search I’ve said, done and tried pretty much all the wrong things all why proclaiming to be a Christian. And yet thru the loss of my bonus daughter Hallie Phillips the Lord decided to set me on a redemptive path to truly know Him. To not just KNOW, but BELIEVE that HE loves ME no matter what. That His grace is sufficient for me. That I can never push Him too far away and that all of the life pain He has allowed to happen to me is only part of HIS bigger story to redeem my life thru Him.

How did Miles For Him come to be? During the time since we’ve lost Hallie (over 27 months as of this writing) I started walking with other Christian men. I first did it because I was tired of having coffee meetings. (By 10am I’ve already consumed 3-4 cups of coffee daily) So I proposed a walk to a dear friend (David) for exercise because it seemed better. As we walked the conversation flowed about our marriages, children, hopes and struggles. We both agreed the movement and two men walking side by side (shoulder to shoulder vs. eye to eye) led to incredible conversation. So we made this a regular monthly practice and then I filled the other weeks of the month with other Christian men who wanted to walk and connect.
I looked at these men as mentors. People that I didn’t know all that well but wanted to know their Christian journey and wanted to learn how I could become a better man (the way I perceived them to be). The “Walk ’N Talks” as I like to call them brought me a great sense of peace and were great for my mental, physical and spiritual health! As I would walk with more and more men, I realized there has to be a higher purpose for this. It’s definitely a way for Men to grow closer and to strengthen themselves for their life journey with Christ, to strengthen their marriages, relationships with their children and to even make their communities better.
That is the genesis of Miles For Him. And if you would like to put some time on my calendar I would love to go for a walk with you and be a part of YOUR journey.
