• Connecting with your Kids thru Sports

I remember growing up that my dad wasn’t much of an athlete.  He was decent at teaching soccer but he had broken his hip playing football in high school so he didn’t get around well and had two total hip replacements by my 16th birthday.  My mom however was quite the softball and volleyball player. …

  • Parenting from an Iron Fist to Chasing After My Kids Hearts

I loved my Dad.  You can’t convince me that he wasn’t an absolutely amazing man.  Although as I’ve gotten older I’ve had many challenge and question his parenting.  Dad ruled with the proverbial “Iron Fist”.  I learned really quickly that I didn’t want his leather belt.  It only took me a few of those spankings…

  • Learning to Love My Wife Well After the Loss of a Child

November 27th, 2022 was a day that changed our entire family’s lives forever.  Around 2pm we got a call that “something happened to Hallie”, my wife Angie’s first born and my bonus-daughter.  That “something” would end up being her boyfriend shooting her from close range with a gun he had purchased the day before that he claims…

  • Why Miles For Him Exists

My name is Aric, I’m 44 and have searched a lifetime to feel seen, known and loved. In that search I’ve said, done and tried pretty much all the wrong things all why proclaiming to be a Christian.  And yet thru the loss of my bonus daughter Hallie Phillips the Lord decided to set me…

This is how it all started…

Sinner.  Saved By Grace.

That’s the basic gist of how this started but that could be said for most of us.  Tim McGraw had a song several years ago called “Better Than I Used To Be” and there’s a line in the song that says “You ain’t gotta dig too deep if you wanna find some dirt on me, But I’m learning who you’ve been ain’t who you’ve gotta be.”  And that line has ALWAYS stuck with me.  My journey and I think the journey most of us are on is about learning from our past and mistakes and using those life lessons to become the BEST version of ourselves.

In my life’s journey I’ve married my favorite person, Angie and we share 6 amazing kids. (I have 3 and she has 3).  All 7 of those people help me to be a better version of myself every day.  But on top of those relationships I use several tools that this site will share with you, from books, to music, to friendships.

Together we can be the healthiest version of ourselves, mind, body and soul.

God Bless and Let’s start walking the path marked out for each of us.
